About the Book

Alex and the Big Eruption

Alex is a ten-year-old unicorn boy who sees the world a little differently. He has ADHD and Autism, which means school can feel loud, confusing, and hard some days. He fidgets, daydreams, and sometimes gets picked on, but Alex is also brilliant, curious, and endlessly kind-hearted.

On the morning of the big science fair, Alex almost refuses to go to school. Then he remembers his homemade volcano project waiting to be shown off, and his excitement comes roaring back. With headphones to calm loud noises and a wobble chair to help him focus, Alex makes it through the school day, wiggles, worries, and all.

When it’s finally his turn to present, Alex adds a little too much baking soda, and his volcano erupts higher than anyone expected. Instead of embarrassment, the whole classroom bursts into cheers. Alex wins Best Science Project and walks away proud, reminding every reader that being different is never something to fix, but something wonderful to celebrate.
